The 89MXA, 89MDA and 89-XDA Automatic Tire Inflation Systems are designed to inflate a single tire at a time, however the service technician may run up to three hose configurations from one unit (drawings demonstrating the basic layout of the systems and their simple 4-button operation available upon request). The hose configurations include quick connect couplers and open style air chucks. When running a single hose, connect the chuck to the valve stem and the
inflator will correct the pressure. When running multiple hoses, an Automatic Switching Valve is required. The ASV is designed for single tire inflation by restricting air flow to the hoses not in use. Service technicians have found this layout ideal for dual service bay operations, as it allows them to perform other tasks while the tires are automatically and accurately inflated. The 89MXA also promotes employee safety because the system can be set to inflate/deflate and the technician can then back away from the tire.
