ASCOT No. 479-36011
The portable inflation cage MIC-2WB is often used by road service vehicles for changing and inflating wide tires osuch as the Michelin X One. This light, very compact, but sturdy inflation cage is manufactured in our Canadian plant using steel that meets the toughest standards in North America. The portable inflation cage opens up and folds down to a depth of only 6”, making it very easy to stow in your service truck.
Tire inflation cage mandatory use
These safety cages, a mandatory precaution for tire inflation, provide good protection and exceed U.S. federal OSHA Standard 29 CFR, 1910.177. Before using the portable inflation cage, please carefully read the instructions on the cage. Unfold the inflation cage so that the folding braces at the bottom straighten out fully. Centre the tire vertically in the cage and position the valve between the 2 uprights. Attach the air chuck to the valve and stand back approximately 10 feet or 3 meters out of the path of the tire and rim.
Tire inflation cage construction
Our tire inflation cages are the strongest on the market. They are built with 2⅜" steel tubing welded to a 3/16" steel base with added reinforcements. All welds on our tire inflation cages meet CSA Standard W47.1. The cages are finished with powder coating baked at 400˚F for superior durability and quality.
